Bio

  • Kevin has directed, produced and written documentary films for distribution on Netflix, Showtime, TNT, National Geographic and A&E. Recent producing projects include "The Lincoln Project," "The Innocence Files" and "Class Action," a 12-part documentary podcast series about the next generation of lawyers. Kevin structured the individual and episodic stories; creating memorable character arcs and dramatic tension.

Born to working class parents in Pennsylvania, Kevin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Urban Studies, then completed his Masters at Emerson College in Boston. He began his career at PBS with "The American Experience" and went on to produce non-scripted docs in the long form units at CBS, NBC, CNN and Fox. In 2008 he moved on to independent film production.

Several of Kevin's most successful documentaries have explored the deep problems facing the criminal justice system. He's built compelling stories around the lives of murderers, detectives, prosecutors and victims. Two of Kevin's documentaries resulted in high-profile exonerations. Excerpts of one series "Killing Richard Glossip" have been submitted to the US Supreme Court in support of Glossip's case of wrongful conviction.

Kevin directed and produced his most recent feature documentary "Give Me Liberty: The Book of Jerry and Becki" in 2024.
