Bio
Shmuel Hoffman is an award-winning film director and founder of Hoffman Productions, with a two-decade track record of crafting emotionally resonant marketing and documentary films. Born in Germany and classically trained as a violist, Shmuel toured Europe performing with legends like Yo-Yo Ma and Daniel Barenboim before transitioning into filmmaking—a passion sparked at age ten when he inherited his grandfather’s camera gear.
From Berlin art galleries to India’s backstreets, his camera has followed stories that matter. His work has screened at Oscar®-qualifying festivals including LA Shorts and Big Sky, and helped major brands like Lexus and MTV make measurable cultural impact. A council member of the Israeli President’s Voice of the People initiative, Shmuel focuses on human-centered storytelling with a deep connection to Jewish values, spirituality, and social good.
He lives in the U.S. with his wife Margelit and their five children, balancing international productions with Torah study, podcast marathons, and quiet hours in museums where creativity finds new form.
