Bio

Trevor Crafts is an Emmy® Award–winning producer, creator, and author whose passion for bold storytelling, striking visuals, and unforgettable characters have made him a distinctive voice in the entertainment industry.

As the founder and President of Macrocosm Entertainment®, he has spent more than 20 years shaping imaginative worlds across film, television, and publishing, earning numerous accolades for his innovative and audience-centric approach.

Most recently, Trevor produced the Emmy® Award–winning and Critics Choice–nominated documentary Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in the premiere category. Distributed by HBO in North America and Universal Pictures globally, the film explores the origins of the creators of Sesame Street and underscores Trevor’s dedication to spotlighting groundbreaking narratives that have shaped cultural history.

Beyond Street Gang, Trevor has helped to shepherd a diverse slate of features, including 7 Splinters in Time(2018), 12 Feet Deep (2016), Sundance favorite Experimenter (2015) starring Peter Sarsgaard and Winona Ryder, the Duplass Brothers’ Manson Family Vacation (2015), and Deep in the Heart (2013). His ability to bring projects from concept to completion speaks to his deep understanding of the cinematic arts, as well as his commitment to collaborative leadership. From character-driven dramas to high-concept genre pieces, Trevor consistently delivers on his vision for innovative, story-first content.

In addition to his accomplishments in film production, Trevor’s creativity extends into writing. He is the author of The Unseen Photos of Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street, published by Abrams offering a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the iconic children’s show, highlighting the groundbreaking efforts of its creators through rare and previously unpublished photographs.

Crafts’ talent also flourishes in the realm of children’s literature with the recently authored illustrated book The Apple that Fell Far from the Tree, a heartfelt exploration of personal identity and the complexities of familial relationships.  Previously, Crafts co-created The Not So Secret Society, a graphic novel that combines adventure, friendship, and problem-solving in an engaging and educational format for young readers.

Building on these publishing successes, Trevor is actively developing Macrocosm’s slate of original IP - including Lantern City®, which captivated audiences with its rich world-building and compelling narrative - broadening his creative footprint across multiple platforms.

Trevor’s insights have been featured in prominent media outlets such as the Today Show, Hollywood Reporter, The New York Times, Time, and People Magazine. In each appearance, he offered a glimpse into his imaginative process and shared the journeys behind his groundbreaking work.

Honored with an Emmy®, two Focal Awards, the LATV Festival award, and numerous other distinctions, Trevor continues to forge new paths in entertainment, guided by a commitment to storytelling that sparks wonder and leaves a lasting impact on audiences worldwide.
