Bio

Beatriz Browne is an Award-winning and Emmy-nominated Documentary Filmmaker and Creative Producer based in Los Angeles. She has worked on award-winning documentary projects from inception to release for partners including MAX, Disney+, Hulu, The New York Times, CNN, Google, Airbnb, and Square. Her films have also been supported by Cinema Eye Honors, Telluride Film Festival, DOCNYC, SFFilms Doc Stories, Webby Awards, IDA Doc Awards, Critics Choice Documentary Awards, among others. 

She is currently helping produce 3 feature documentaries with Kennedy/Marshall, Bad Robot, and Sutter Road Picture Company. Beatriz has produced a few films for the Academy Award®-winning company Breakwater Studios, including: THE LAST REPAIR SHOP (96th Academy Award® winner), and MINK! (Executive Produced by Naomi Osaka with her media company Hana Kuma). She was also an Associate Producer for THE TRUTH ABOUT JIM (Imagine Documentaries), directed by Skye Borgman and now streaming on MAX.

Beatriz had her directorial debut in 2021 with her film 34 CARMINE ST., an award winning short documentary. She is currently producing and directing her first feature: THIRD CULTURE KIDS.

Born in Brazil but raised in China and the UAE, Beatriz has the ability to work in fast-paced global environments due to her international perspective and endurance. With a knack for adaptability, Beatriz is able to tell stories from all over the world, in addition to speaking 4 languages fluently. Her stories are often character-centric, resonating with a global audience.
