Bio

Kady Le is a documentary producer, director, and writer based in Orange Country, CA.

Hailing from the Bay Area, she grew up as the daughter of Vietnamese refugees in the Little Saigon neighborhood of San Jose.

Currently, Kady is a line producer for Choral Singing in America: Nurturing the Country's Soul, and a feature-length documentary featuring interviews from Scott Hoying from Pentatonix, Sanjay Gupta, and Eric Whitacre. She recently worked as an associate producer for Be Not Afraid, a feature-length documentary about a Filipino migrant family in LA that seeks justice after surviving racial assault during the COVID pandemic. Kady helped develop and execute a crowdfunding strategy that raised over $40K for finishing funds.

Kady is a UCLA Film School graduate from the undergrad screenwriting program, where she earned the Dustin Lance Black Award for Diversity and Inclusion and the Peter Stark Memorial Scholarship.

Kady has been invited to speak at national conferences and universities, including UCLA, USC, and UC Santa Barbara. Her narrative short film, Like Mother, Like Daughter, has screened in film festivals and venues in major cities across the US and internationally, such as Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, London, and Dublin. It won Best Trans Shorts Audience Choice Award at Out on Film, Atlanta’s LGBT Film Festival.
