Lisa migrated from a successful and extensive career in theatre, which armed her with all the essential cross transferable skills for producing. She is a true collaborator with a passion for storytelling and has over two decades of production experience. Her company, LDR Creative, plays to its strengths to make an impact.
In 2016 Lisa launched her own production company, LDR Creative, with the objective to build creative teams that inspire, and to produce films that make a difference. Her first short film, ‘Early Mourning’, was screened at over 20 film festivals, winning 5 awards including the Audience Award at the Soho International Film Festival 2017 in NYC. The follow-up short film in 2018, ‘Free’ is distributed on both Shorts TV and Amazon Prime.
Lisa has been producing independent film, in both the long and short form over the past 9 years, in both the fiction and non-fiction space, producing a total of over 15 films.
Lisa’s first feature length documentary, 'Uprooted - The Journey of Jazz Dance' enjoyed a world premiere at the Lincoln Centers Dance on Camera Film Festival in NYC, winning the Best of Fest Feature Award in 2020 and then continued to take the festival circuit by storm winning eighteen further awards including Best Musical Documentary at The Rhode Island International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Documentary during its International Premiere at Raindance Film Festival.
Uprooted originally streamed on HBO Max in the US for 3 years and is now available on Amazon Prime in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand (US distributor is Questar Entertainment and International sales and distributor is Kaleidoscope) and at all educational institutions worldwide through their educational distributors GOOD DOCS / SAGE.
Lisa actively curates and runs UPROOTED’s educational programs both in the US and the UK.
LDR Creative’s second feature documentary ‘Susan Feniger. FORKED’ has just finished a very successful film festival tour and is now available in the UK on Amazon Prime (Distributor - Kaleidoscope) and the in the US from October 10th, 2025, on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango, You Tube, Google Play, Direct TV, Spectrum, Comcast and Fios (US Distributor-Freestyle Digital Media)
Lisa is a proud member of The Producers Guild of America (PGA), Documentary Producers Alliance (DPA) and Women's Independent Producers (WIP). She has feature films in development and pre- production, ranging from comedy to horror to thrillers and documentaries.
