Journalists have a great opportunity to improve our understanding of children, and with that, they also carry the responsibility to portray children justly. Naturally, journalists are concerned with producing a great story, however, this goal does not have to be at odds with the fair portrayal of children’s experiences, thoughts, and needs. This guide provides helpful recommendations on how children’s perspectives can be better incorporated into mass media reporting.
